Slowest Week EVER

This is going to be the longest week ever because we are SO ready to go to the beach. Today dragged by at work because I don't really have much to do before I go. I'm caught up on writing all of my speeches and I don't have any tour groups scheduled to come until the end of the month. So I'm just doing things as needed around the office. I spent most of the day doing odds and ends.

Patrick on the other hand is crazy busy. He was out of town for three days last week, which meant he had tons of work awaiting his return. In fact, he didn't get home until 8 p.m. tonight. He's usually home around 6:30 p.m., but he's trying to get everything done so we can leave Thursday night.

I guess I could have packed while I waited on Patrick to get home, but I didn't. Lauren and I hung out and played. She's really into putting things together right now. Tonight she was playing with her wooden barnyard puzzle. When she put the correct piece in the correct space I said "Yea!" and clapped. Well, she thought that was fun so she kept trying to get the rest of the pieces in their spots. She got one almost right and she looked up at me and clapped her hands and said "Yea!" to reward herself.

She's also been trying to put the correct shape inside her soft blocks. She usually gets it right because they're larger than the puzzle. Bebe smart.

Okay, still playing and learning with the new Web site. If you'll scroll all the way to the bottom you'll notice a video. It's an oldie, but a goodie. I was just experimenting to see if I could embed a YouTube video -- it worked.

Weekend ramblings

Lauren is finally growing some hair! Last weekend we experimented with putting it up and this weekend we moved to putting it up and added a bow.

The funny thing is, she used to pull her bow out all the time when it was on the side of her head. Now that it's on top she forgot it was up there and her hair looked cute all day.

Yesterday we spent the day shopping. First we stopped by Peachtree mall to get Patrick a new bathing suit for the beach and ate at Chick-Fil-A -- yum! Then we went to the PX and the commissary. Lauren was a champ all day. She didn't get fussy at all, mostly because she's a people watcher so looking at all the people yesterday kept her entertained.

Today we're chilling at home and starting to pack for the beach. Although, it's 10 a.m. and I'm on the couch playing with the new Web site and Patrick is playing video games. So we're not off to a roaring start yet. Lil' Jon is passed out next to me and Lauren is playing in her pack n' play. Hopefully we get motivated before lunch time.

New Web site!

I decided to move Lauren's Web site to this one because it offers more options and it's easier to upload pictures and videos. I think you'll like the new layout and enjoy the new features. If we don't like it we can always go back to the other one.

In addition to Lauren updates, I also plan on updating this thing everyday with just our day to day stuff to keep everyone informed about what we're up to because we are fabulously interesting people. We hope you enjoy.

Be sure to vote which Web site you prefer, this one or http://www.laurengordon.aboutmybaby.com/. After playing around with this one I realized it may not let me upload videos as easily as the other, so vote and let me know which site you prefer.

The poll is on the right hand side of the screen under the slideshow.
