Mom wanted a video-phone for Christmas so she could see Lauren, but after much research we realized the technology just wasn't good enough yet. So instead, Dad got Mom and Lauren web cams. Now Bebe can talk to Nonie via Skype for free. It works really well and Lauren totally understands it. Whenever she sees me on my laptop she climbs up on the couch and demands "I call Nonie? I call Nonie?"

Lauren likes to play in her room and even though it was pretty safe, she still needed to be supervised to ensure she didn't hurt. So this weekend I baby-proofed her room. This is the new cord organizer that runs behind her dresser to contain the cable wire, TV cord, DVD player cord and Barbie house cord. They used to stick out and could easily be grabbed by little hands.
Here is the outlet next to the Window. Before, it was a regular outlet with two plugs in it that used to tempt Lauren to unplug them. Now, it has a cover and as you can see the cord tube covers the cords plugged into it.
I also got a magnet lock for her changing table. I didn't want to drill holes into her furniture to attach latches, but I needed to secure the cabinet because her lotions and such are in there. So I ordered magnet latches. They attach to the door with adhesive and are unlocked when the special magnet is held up to the door, it's pretty cool.

Finally here is Lauren's birthday present from me and Patrick, it's a Pottery Barn Anywhere Chair. When she saw the giant box she started jumping up and down saying "I open? I open?" I'm not sure how she knew it was for her, but she enjoys her "share."
